And, here they are - some of the cutest booties around. I figure these to be size 6-9 months - a far cry from the newborn size that I was going for. I found the (free!) pattern from Saartje Knits. They were too cute not to try. They knit up really fast and were pretty easy to make. I did both in about 6 hours. I hope the momma-to-be likes them. I was very lucky to be sitting at my favorite coffee shop/yarn store, Lakeside Fibers, when this project was completed. My husband gave me a rare afternoon off and I was able to go there, do some reading for my class and complete this project. I can tell you that I got tons of compliments on this project from fellow knitters/coffee shop patrons.
